Joker Poker is an online gambling game offered by the popular manufacturer Habanero. It is a card game in which we play against the computer, so we do not need to be able to bluff to enjoy playing poker. This is poker based on the Kings or Better rule. The game also has the titular Joker in its cards, which makes it easier to collect the required cards.
You don’t need to have any experience to play Joker Poker. This is the perfect game for beginners who want to get into the world of poker and learn card layouts. The game we offer is a demo version that does not require registration, logging in or making a deposit. Thanks to this, you can test it completely risk-free.
Joker Poker is available without downloading, straight from your web browser. You can also play it on mobile devices. Interested? Read the rest of the review, which explains the rules of the game.
Joker Poker is a game that offers several options from the very beginning. Before we start playing, we choose how many hands we want to play. From the basic one hand, through five, ten, fifty to one hundred. The number of hands selected obviously affects the bet amounts and the difficulty of the game, but it is an interesting change, especially for experienced players.
In Habanero poker, we can place a minimum bet of 1 and a maximum of 100 (these are the values of the bet in a one-hand game). On the lowest bet, we bet one coin for the entire bet, and on the highest bet, 5.
Interestingly, the game has an autoplay option, where the computer itself decides what cards it leaves, what cards it replaces and moves through the next hands one by one. We set the number of hands, so we have some influence on when the game ends, but it is always worth following the hand carefully so as not to miss big winnings.
However, the Joker Poker game has one more interesting feature – it automatically searches for the best cards to keep before exchanging them. This is especially useful when we have no experience and it is difficult for us to notice specific patterns. The game automatically marks the cards that are best kept, and the player can decide whether to play according to the game’s suggestions or change them themselves. Of course, this option can be completely disabled and you can play without the help of the system.
If you have ever played slots, you will notice some similarities in the navigation itself, e.g. in setting the bet values. However, because here the player has more room for maneuver by being able to choose the cards he wants to leave behind, the navigation only looks very similar. However, you don’t have to worry because the technical side of the game is very intuitive.
Button | Meaning |
---|---|
Deal | This is the button that accepts the bet amount and starts dealing the cards. |
Cards | We get 5 cards. Depending on the settings, the Hold inscription will appear on some of them automatically, or we have to set it ourselves. If the game showed it automatically, we can of course withdraw Game Hold and set our own. We can keep any combination of cards or decide to exchange all of them. Only after selecting the cards do we exchange the remaining cards that we have not selected. |
Draw | With this button we confirm the selection of our cards. |
Bet Max | Sets the highest possible bet on the coin of our choice. |
Bet One | Here we decide on the amount of the bet. |
Auto Hold | The button enables/disables the automatic stopping of cards by the game. This is a good help for players who are just learning. |
Autoplay | The game takes place entirely without the player’s participation. We can set 3 modes: 50 hands, 100 hands or Auto Play without limits. |
Monety | Here we set the coin value. We always have to do it manually. |
Balance | Up to the amount of our deposit (in the free game it is fictitious money) |
Coins | Here you will find information about how much money we place on one bet. The higher the bet, the more coins. |
Bet | Here we will find information about the total value of our bet (coin value x number of coins). |
Win | Information about our last win. |
≡ | Menu from which we can set full screen or go to the Help section. |
Help | Here you will find a description of the game, along with card layouts, an explanation of how navigation works, etc. |
The rules of Joker Poker are mostly the same as other versions of poker. However, we must remember one detail here: the lowest single pair that wins is the King pair. All pairs with a lower value, if they are the only one in the hand of the owner, do not bring us a win. The title Joker is helpful here, thanks to which we can form, for example, Three of a Kind from the lower pair.
What are the best bets to place? Low bets are the safest because they minimize the risk of high losses and allow you to play longer, so you have a greater chance of being lucky. High bets carry the risk of quickly losing your entire deposit.
Since this is not a game against another person, the known strategies from real poker are not entirely necessary here. We don’t have to bluff, nor can we force the other person to give up the game.
However, what we should know and use in the game is the knowledge of card layouts. We can, of course, let Poker Joker play everything for us, but this kills the spirit of poker and the satisfaction of collecting the most difficult hands on our own. The card layouts you need to know are:
If we know these layouts, we will easily find our way around while playing Joker Poker.
Joker Poker from Habanero is a well-refined no-deposit casino game that allows both inexperienced and already familiar players to play poker. Its huge advantage is Auto Hold, which helps players notice which cards are worth keeping, which also reduces the risk of losing. The game also has a wide range of betting options.
The downside of the game is that it has some new layouts, such as 5 of Kind or Wild Royal, which are not explained in the game rules. Players must take the time to learn for themselves which card arrangement corresponds to these names. However, despite this small shortcoming, the Joker Poker demo version is enjoyable and allows you to learn the rules of poker without any risk or registration.
